About Us

Rossington Football Club (founded 1963) is a FA Charter Standard Club, which means we are recognised by the FA for having qualified and DBS checked coaches offering a high quality, safe and enjoyable grassroots football experience for every age group.

We believe that every young person has the right to play and enjoy football, we welcome children from aged 5 to our fun Mini Kickers morning training sessions which commence every May / June, preparing children to enter the football league. Rossington Juniors runs teams from Under 7s through to Under 18's, playing in the Doncaster and District Junior Football League and affiliated to the Sheffield and Hallam County FA. We are also the feeder club to our senior side Rossington Main FC offering a clear career football path for our aspiring footballers.

Everyone here at the club - the committee, coaches and managers – are enthusiastic committed volunteers wanting to offer a friendly professional football experience, all Head Coaches / Managers accredited to FA Level 1 or 2.

If you are interested in joining one of our teams for the season, please obtain the contact details of the manager of that age group by selecting from the team menu above. The qualifying school years are as of Sept 2021 and are shown against each age group in the Teams menu.

We also would like to offer opportunities to adults who would like to be part of our coaching staff, we provide them with funded coaching course which enables them to both run sides and share their love of the beautiful game.

We are also in need of people who would be happy to do the referees course.

As a FA Charter Standard Development Club we welcome both girls and boys aged 5 to 18 regardless of ability.

You can also be assured that all of our Managers and coaches will offer a quality football experience as they are FA Licensed and hold the following qualifications and certificates:

* DBS (CRB) checks;

* Emergency First Aid qualified;

* Safeguarding children course;
* Personal Liability Cover

* FA Level 1 in coach (as a minimum)
